ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • 1st Shift
  • Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery, mechanical, and electrical equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing equipment in a timely and cost efficient manner.
  • Execute a preventative maintenance schedule for plant utilities equipment and buildings.
  • Inspects and tests 120/277 VAC electrical lighting equipment, 120/208/480 VAC, three-phase power circuits and examines mechanical equipment to diagnose problems.
  • Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical and mechanical parts such as gears, brushes and armatures.
  • Mounts motors, transformers and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagram specifications.
  • Maintain facility compressed air systems including rotary screw compressors, refrigerant air dryers and compressed air distribution systems.
  • Maintain and inspect facility HVAC equipment including Daikin RTUs and mini-splits, radiant heaters, ceiling and wall mount exhaust/supply fans.
  • Maintain and inspect 2 psi and 10 psi natural gas equipment within the manufacturing facility and natural gas supply piping for HVAC RTU equipment.
  • Maintain and inspect facility grease traps.
  • Maintain parking lots, asphalt roadways, concrete parking areas and all facility grounds, including maintenance and repair of sprinkler systems.
  • Cleaning, painting and repair of facility piping, maintenance of overhead lighting equipment, and inspection and minor repair of overhead cranes, which are usually performed from a boom lift.
  • Repair and maintain dock doors, dock levelers, rollup doors and high speed rollup doors. Maintain and repair facility doors, windows, walls, floors and ceilings.
  • Provide support and complete facility generated work orders in a timely manner, as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Do you have an Associate’s degree in an engineering technology or related field from an accredited college or university and 2 years of experience in maintenance OR High School diploma (or GED) with 7+ years of experience in maintenance?

Do you have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and HVAC systems?
