Metal Trades, Inc.

Background
After 45 years in the business, Metal Trades, Inc. is one of the largest steel fabrication companies in South Carolina.  They employ approximately 180 employees at their 46 acre Hollywood SC facility, which is located 20 miles south of Charleston.

Recently they looked to readySC™ for help with a business expansion and recruitment of skilled welders.

The Process
“I thought it would take months to develop it, set it up, and get the program going. Within weeks, we were up and ready. We actually had to scramble to get the school set up and get the students ready to start the training. [readySC™ was] ready before we were. Recruitment Highlighted
The community is very excited about the readySC™ training program as some of these people don’t have transportation to Charleston or to other outlying areas.  Being able to actually ride their bicycle to work is a bonus, it creates a win-win situation for both the company and the community.
