COLUMBIA, S.C. - July 25, 2012 - Gonvarri Steel Services, a provider of steel processing to manufacturers, today announced plans to locate its new production plant in Union County. The initial $35 million investment is expected to generate 40 new jobs, with an additional $15 million investment and 25 jobs created over the next 10 years.
Gonvarri Steel Services is a leading company in steel service centers, with revenues of over $2.6 billion in 2011, and processing more than 3.2 million tons of steel. Its strategy in the steel processing business is based on the development of products and services with great added value, allowing the company to establish closer relationships with its main clients in its four business units: automotive, road safety, industry and household appliances. With this new facility, Gonvarri Steel Services will have a total of 24 steel service centers located in 13 different countries.

ACE Bakery LLC
COLUMBIA, S.C. – July 26, 2012 – ACE Bakery LLC (“ACE Bakery”), a maker of baked goods for the retail and food service markets, today announced plans to locate a new facility in Cherokee County. The $18.4 million investment is expected to generate approximately 51 new jobs.
ACE Bakery LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of George Weston Limited, with a principal place of business in the United States in Brownsburg, Ind., will open a new location in Gaffney for the production and distribution of its baked goods. The company will produce its Artisan line of baked breads for both the retail and foodservice sectors.
The company will begin hiring for the new positions in the coming months, and hiring details will be communicated at that time.
