readySC™ in cooperation with Spartanburg Community College will assist ESAB Welding and Cutting Products

in recruiting and on-the-job training for its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Union County, SC.  ESAB is one of the world’s largest producers of welding consumables and equipment. 

 

Immediate openings are available for:

 

Maintenance Technicians

• Minimum 3 to 5 years maintenance experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must have ability to properly read prints, sketches, and instructions.
• Possess the ability to satisfactorily perform all types of maintenance skills including machine troubleshooting and repair, HVAC, plumbing, welding, hydraulics, carpentry, painting, pneumatics, lubrication, minor metal fabrication, buildings and grounds, and all other general maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work independently or within a team to accomplish tasks or objectives.
• Must have demonstrated mechanical aptitude and superior general maintenance experience.
• Starting wage is $18 to $25 per hour based on experience and technical expertise.

 

Machine Operators

• Minimum 3 to 5 years manufacturing experience. Process manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to become fully proficient with all operations while maintaining focus on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Must have demonstrated mechanical aptitude and machine operation experience.
• Starting wage is $14 per hour.

 

 

All successful Candidates must possess the following minimum employment eligibility qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s Degree/certification a plus.
• Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends.
• Must have effective verbal/written communication skills and basic computer literacy skills.
• Applicants must successfully pass pre-hire assessments, reference checks and a physical examination that includes drug screening.

• Specific equipment related training will occur on-the-job.
